Ok, first week is a loss of 1.6 lbs - which let me tell you is a fricken' miracle! With 3 meals at Mexican and one Thai it's amazing anything was lost (especially since last night's dinner was nachos). I guess the saving grace is that I have switched to vegetarianism and my breakfast and lunch are pretty healthy while dinner is a 50/50 chance of healthy or completely, terribly, horrible (see above nachos!).
I know that to see real progress I'm going to have to stay in the points. It's frankly a fluke that I lost this week. I'm choosing small goals each week. This week there are two: 1) Stay within my points and 2) Drink water or unsweetened tea.
I tend to drink a lot of diet soda which I know intellectually is basically "chemical water" but damn, it can be tasty. So, I'm trying to move to water and unsweetened tea. I have never put anything in my iced tea so that latter won't be a problem. I really only like cold (preferably ice cold) drinks though so that is always an issue.
Progress not perfection.. onward!
