<-You've been warned.
This week... this was a stressful one. Some of it was fun, a lot of it was stressful. We threw a surprise birthday party for my aunt that took a LOT of work (but it was completely worth it!), I haven't been feeling the greatest, there was some seriously horrendous stress going on at work, a very sweet dog that belonged to my grandparents and aunt had to be put down due to some serious health issues... Basically what I'm getting at here is that I had EVERY excuse in the world to pig out and gain five pounds. You know what? I didn't. I actually lost a pound. With all the party food and temptation to stress eat, I lost a pound. YAY!
On to the good stuff.
1) The guy I've been seeing and I are official... which is awesome, because he's totally the cheese to my macaroni, the Doctor to my Companion, the Williams to my Pond, and easily the most supportive person in the history of forever.
2) My aunt's birthday party was AWESOME!!! As soon as the party started, all of the kids wanted to jump into the pool so of course I went in with them. Our pool is only about 3 1/2 feet deep. I was holding my two year old niece, Lydia for over an hour. Being a shorter pool, I had to do that awkward knees-bent-and-bouncing thing to keep her at a safe place in the water. My legs were KILLING me when I was done. Who'd have thought that would be such an awesome work out?!
3) I'm going to Wizard World (comic-con) with the boyfriend, my sister and dad, and probably some friends in a little over two weeks. So here's the problem. I bought this dress.

The dress itself and the fact that I'm not as skinny as this Christina Applegate look-a-like model isn't the problem. It actually fits REALLY well and shows off some of the curves I WANT to show off (like seriously. my butt looks great in this thing..... you probably didn't need to know that, but IT'S TRUE). The problem is that when I turn to the side, I have a little too much of a tummy going on. Now, the correct undergarments will fix some of this, but I'd rather not have to completely rely on them to look super hot in this thing. So for the next 17 days, I'm in Best-Behavior-EVER mode. I did super well today. Veggies and fruit for breakfast, a little bit of fast food for lunch (I was out with my little sister who has a gluten problem, so we were limited as far as where or what we could eat without paying out of the nose). After walking around Woodfield with her for almost 4 hours, we ran some errands, visited Tony at work, and then came home and took a walk. I have *almost* 11,000 steps in (which I'll hit simply by getting ready for bed tonight), and I ate one piece of frozen pizza for dinner. So I'm going to consider today a success.
For the next 17 days, my goal is to consume no more than 1400 calories in a day and to hit at LEAST 10,000 steps day. I'm going to log this stuff, so we'll see how long of a perfect streak I can get here!! I'll try my hardest to post a lot more with small updates over the next 17 days, but no promises. I just really want to be the hottest Dalek at the comic-con. Is that too much to ask for? ;)
Okay. Pictures of me in the Dalek dress below. These are the before pictures, the after pictures will be up the day we go to the convention. =]]
