Two weeks ago was absolute hell - my little one (she is three) had a week long bout of stomach flu, and it was rough on the whole house! I, obviously, didn't get to workout at all that week - unless you count the endless trips up and down the stairs to change MANY loads of laundry. I didn't eat great that week either, mostly eating whatever I could scarf down quickly and easily while still allowing her to cling to me (hubby got a lot of takeout for us). The only bright side to the week was that we discovered a great place to get burgers for takeout (Fatty's Pub and Grille - and eating there WILL make you fat).
Last week was a bit better. It started out rough, but ended up being not too bad. Wednesday I did two miles on the elliptical, not fabulous, but something. Thursday I had a session with my trainer AND did a 15 minute session on the elliptical for cardio. Saturday, I took my five year old to a birthday party at It's A Girl Thing in Geneva (one of those places that the kids get their hair, nails, and makeup done) and we both had a blast. I had to grab lunch at McDonald's (a chicken wrap) and I did have a cupcake when I got home (I had to make a batch of them so she would have a 'safe' cupcake at the party) - but I did stop at just one.
This week has started off being pretty hectic, again, but an end is in sight! I just mailed out over 40 personal fundraising letters and tomorrow 38 business fundraising letters will be sent out (each walker is committed to raising a minimum of $1,800 - so our team has to raise a minimum of $10,800). There are a few fundraisers I still need to make fliers for, add to the team calendar, and post about on our website - but nothing has to be done right this second. Tomorrow, I am meeting with my trainer at 930am, then I will spend a half hour on the elliptical, and then I plan on coming home and catching up on laundry (I totally count laundry as a physical activity in my house).
Sorry for the brief and choppy post - desperately need to decompress and get some sleep. I am hoping that my post next week will have a more positive focus to it.
