The past few months have been filled with drama (which I tend to dislike - except for onstage), fundraising/working on stuff for the Avon Walk, cooking/baking from scratch (thankfully, I got my KitchenAid back last week), trying to fit in some socialization (my friends are very understanding, at least) and lots of sleepless nights so that I could accomplish everything that needed to get done. Needless to say, I have not focused on my weight loss and fitness goals. The good news is that the source of the drama has been eliminated (no, I didn't kill anyone) AND the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer is this weekend. Despite the craziness, the surgeries our team captain had to go through (she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 11/11 and is currently dealing with some complications associated with reconstruction - all while working full time and raising two little ones), the set backs with weather, and a last minute withdrawal from the walk by a team member due to surgery last Friday - Barbie's Rack Attack was able to raise over $9000 to help in the fight against breast cancer. Barb, Wayne, Kathy, and myself will be heading to event eve Friday afternoon and getting ready to walk first thing Saturday morning (rain or shine!).

The secret to succeeding at anything is having the right attitude. Everyone experiences self-doubt, gets stressed, and is rejected or let down at times - but it is the way people respond to these situations that really show what they are made of. I had really hoped to refocus on my goals at the beginning of this month - but I let other things get in the way of my success. Since what I have been doing (or not doing) up to this point is obviously not conducive to achieving my goals, it is time to re-evaluate and come up with a different plan of attack.
