First, the good:
My last weigh in was around 126. I'm not quite sure exactly I don't remember what it was I just remember it was up. This morning...well I'm down, but I'm not quite sure what the number is. I stepped on the scale and it said 123.8. I was a little taken aback so I reweighed myself, and it said 125. I decided to adjust the scale's placement (as its on particle board so it can settle into pressure marks on the wood, and that usually winds up in reaaaaallllly low numbers. Not that I mind seeing 114 sometimes but I know they aren't accurate) and after adjusting the scale, it said 124.4. So I'm not really sure what I weigh this morning, but an average of the 3 numbers is 124.4 and I'll take it. So I'm down about 2 pounds this week.
I've been eating REALLY well and I've had a perfect water week! I try to get a green smoothie in at least once a day, and I'm eating light foods-salads, chicken, rice....I did have a few indulgences. Tuesday is taco day at Liquid Blues (seriously the best food ever there, such an underrated bar-people go eat there!!!! They are open for lunch Wed-Sat @ 11a and my dear fiancé will serve you up some of the best cuisine you've had!) so naturally I had to have a taco. I had 2, actually, but I loaded them with tomatoes and lettuce, a little bit of cheese and some sour cream. The next night my brother and I were down there and he bought me dinner. We split mozzarella sticks (I let him have more) and I had a salad. My Coworker brought donuts on Friday morning...I eventually caved and and one BUT my cousin came over for girly talk that night and I cooked some chicken and rice with zucchini and celery. She offered to pick up some Chop Suey Hut....which was soooo tempting, but I took the better route. I had a dress to squeeze into Saturday.
Now here's the bad....
That dress? That was #2 from my previous post, which I have officially chosen. YAY!
That dress....was a size 2....which I officially don't fit in. (....yet....)
I had my mom and MiL come up with me to Kenosha to potentially buy the dress (which retails at $1050...I was gonna buy it for $350) My MiL is a seamstress so while I knew the dress would be a little small, she may have been able to let it out, or resew it so it would fit...but alas, it was just too small. It was also too short.
We went to several thrift stores after and I tried on SO many dresses. Some of them were decent, most of them were from the 80's (...so, like, totally no way man!) and one of them was nice, but incredibly dirty...
Basically, I have 41 days to find my dress. Or, have my MiL make one for me. I have no idea what to do. The alternate is finding another #2 on preownedweddingdresses.com -which is where I found the dress in Kenosha- and ordering it for more than I wanted to pay and hopefully it fits.
I'm feeling the pressure. I felt it last night after I ate almost all the things, including near half a bag of potato chips and half a container of sour cream (I bought low fat both specifically because I knew I'd mindlessly chomp) and about 4-5 tablespoons of Nutella. I love Nutella. It makes me happy, and there's only 5g of fat in 2 tablespoons, and when I wake up in the middle of the night craving chocolate it does the job in two little spoonfuls.
Anyway....mixed feelings...I guess. I'm happy with my progress, especially knowing there was no activity and I got my little indulgences in....but I'm really stressing about my lack of dress(ing sorry I had to) Most everything else is coming along.
OH! A little tip for those of you who enjoy a drink but don't want to deal with carbs and bloating associated with beer: my friend, who used to be a body builder, told me that vodka is probably the lowest caloric alcohol AND grapefruit juice helps to ease water retaining and bloat. SO: it makes a tart and tasty beverage that keeps you on track. It's been my top choice for a week and a half and I'm pretty sure it's been helping.
Today David and I are going up to Hampshire today for the Cripple Creek Coon Creek something or other festival (it's basically their fair) and we are going to bartend the beer tent. I'll prolly have a few, as well as a pork sammich (they are amazing) but I'm gonna try to not overindulge in festival treats, and drink plenty of water as well. I'll also basically doing short ladder sprints while serving, and if my feet aren't crap by the end of the night, maybe a jog. I will jog at least once this week!
