Starting weight: 182.6
Weigh-in on 10-25-13: 181.8 (-.8lbs!)
Whew!!! I was sweating this week! Long story short: My cycle started this week. Was is smart to start this blogging thing when I KNEW my monthly visitor was coming this first week? Normally I would say probably not. But I also knew that if I didn't jump on the bandwagon last week when I was feeling courageous, I would have chickened out. I couldn't make another excuse so I kicked it up a notch. I usually gain a tiny bit this week and then start losing again after it's long gone. So to lose .8 lbs this week is a total victory!
Melissa made a good point in her post last week about the difference of starving yourself vs. letting your body adjust and not giving into all your hunger sensations. (You should totally read it! She put in all sorts of cute illustrations that really drive the point home!) It's totally true. When you overeat, you train your body to eat more and to need more to be satisfied. When you do the opposite, your stomach thinks it's hungry, when really, you're doing just fine. I went to bed hungry many days this week. And it was OK. I wasn't like starving. I had plenty of food during the day, but my body was used to a little something something before bed and by that, I mean A SNACK!
I'm going to make this post short this week because I'm already late posting (I always weigh in in Friday mornings and post by Saturday morning) It was the end of the grading period this week and I've spent many of my hours finishing up grades, writing comments for all of my 95 students and doing report cards for all of them. I'll leave you with a picture of something that I've been wanting to do for a long time and I was finally able to this weekend!!!!

It's not the best quality picture and excuse the messiness that I wasn't able to crop out. But...I was able to fit into my wedding dress y'all!!!!!!! I've been waiting to do this for a LONG time now. I even tried once in April or May when Sheri and Melissa were over and unfortunately I wasn't quite ready. (A little embarrassing me, but I knew they still loved me even if my wedding dress didn't fit yet) Woo hoo!! I'm looking forward to getting into the 170's within the next two weeks. I'd say next week, but it's Halloween and while I plan on staying strong, I'm realistic and I know I'll indulge a teensy bit. Have a great week and thanks for reading!!
