"When in doubt, make a fool of yourself. There is a microscopically thin line between being brilliantly creative and acting like the most gigantic idiot on earth. So what the hell, leap."
--Cynthia Heimel
While I have not been perfect by any stretch of the imagination, I have been better. I made a sticker sheet for me to keep track of my workouts (it is how I keep track of accomplishments my children make, so mine is right near theirs) and last week I made it to the gym twice. Today I went to work with my trainer again (to get set up on ActiveTrax), tomorrow are swim lessons, and Wednesday is my last personal training session for awhile. I have lost a little over a pound in the past week and have been trying to focus on eating smarter - I had a pickle and a popsicle for snacks tonight (total of 55 calories) vs the bowl of ice cream I usually eat (nobody really wants to know how many calories that usually is). I have been drinking pop on occassion, but I have been mostly sticking to water or Vitamin Water when I need something with flavor.
I also started a new business venture - I signed up to be a Pure Romance consultant and am loving it so far! I have my lauch party this Saturday to practice my demonstrations and games on friends and family - and then I already have 2 other parties booked in the coming weeks (and have a few more people that have shown interest). I sold Avon before and did really well at it and then left because I was working ridiculous hours as an underwriter at HCSC, so I know that direct selling can be difficult - but I really like that Pure Romance focuses on empowering women. Plus, the party atmosphere is fun and gets me out of the house. Getting out of the house makes me care what I look like and what I am wearing. So, more motivation to get into shape.
That is all the time I have now (sharing a computer with my husband is going to be a difficult thing) - keep your fingers crossed for me that the new business works out (because then I can buy a new laptop!) and that the sticker sheet helps me keep on track.
