So it was a really good and fun-filled week! So fun-filled that I put off writing this post a few days. My weigh-in was from Friday, which is when I normally weigh-in. Here's some pictures from all the fun I had this weekend!
So the whole reason I started blogging with my fabulous fellow Getting There friends is because after starting this weight-loss/running/the-best-me-I-can-be journey in April 2012 the summer of 2013 was a complete yo-yo of 5-7 lbs for the entire summer. Listen to me now, hear me later: I WILL NOT ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN THIS SUMMER!
Now, let's put some things into perspective: I've released 16-21 lbs since then (I heard someone say "released' as opposed to "lost" when talking about their weight-loss recently and I think that's FABULOUS!) I did not make my goal of getting out of the "overweight" BMI category by the end of school. I've had some people tell me recently that they didn't think I needed to lose anymore. If I didn't, it wouldn't be the end of the world. But I think I could lose another 10 or so. That would put me at 100lbs lost AND in the healthy weight range.
So the biggest obstacles I have to maneuver around have to do with being at home most days. So instead of making of lists of I WILL NOTS, let's put a positive spin on this...
I, Amanda Storer, WILL:
1) Start tracking what I eat on My Fitness Pal most days of the week
2) I will resist the temptation to have any beer or wine with dinner more often than I should just because it's summer (unless, obviously, I know I have the calories left-over because I've been tracking)
3) I will exercise almost every day (this won't be hard. It's summer!!!)
4) I will enjoy the summer! The cookouts! The get togethers! But I will continue to make up for these planned events by eating less in the meals surrounding them and bumping up the exercising. This includes my vacation that starts in just a few days! I will run and walk on the beach every day! That will not be hard AT ALL!!
So that's the plan! I will leave you with a couple of pics from my early morning run yesterday. It sucks getting up early, but it's so fun to be out in God's office when all of the critters are coming out and the sun is waking up. And I got to sport my new Running Depot singlet! It's SO cute!!! Have a great week everyone!
