Last year I gained 13 pounds over the summer and tried really hard to prevent that this year. I have not had access to a scale since June 5th so I am not sure what the damage is. I definitely think it is less than 13. I'm getting my Master's degree in Educational Technology so as part of our course work I am photographed and videoed a lot and let's just say I was embarrassed about how big I looked. I'm also embarrassed that unlike a lot of you, I haven't lost any weight since starting this blog. That. is. inexcusable.
I am going back to Mumbai Tuesday and will weigh myself and see what the damage is and start from there. While I was on vacation I looked up a bunch of recipes to give to Jessie when I get back. I also wrote the calorie counts of fruits and vegetables I eat often and the calorie burn of my favorite exercises and I'm planning on losing 8-10 pounds in August and another 8-10 in Sept. I am going to the Maldives the first week of Oct and that is a trip of a lifetime. I don't expect to look like a Hollywood star on the beach, I just want to have less whale blubber!!
