Sunday and Monday were not great days on plan... Monday got away from me in particular. I made a great decision- drove right by a Cheesecake Factory when I was looking for a place to kill an hour!- and I felt so good about that, my defenses were down and I justified my way into eating a whole thing of candy beans.
And maybe it was for the best, because starting Tuesday I got my butt in gear. I started tracking, really tracking, and kept it up for the rest of the week. I drank my water every day and felt really in control. Haven't felt that in a while, it was nice!
I haven't talked much about Weight Watchers training, but it's moving along slowly... in the beginning, the majority of the training is online. There have been courses about the plan itself, the best way to introduce people to it, helping people through maintenance... but I haven't really learned anything new yet. It's a bad sign when you could've gotten a 100% score on the assessment if you had taken it before you went through the course. I mean, you've seen this kind of question before:
Margie, a long term member whose losses have slowed down recently, has approached you with concerns about her progress. How should you respond?
a. Punch her in the face.
b. Tell her maybe it's time to try Jenny Craig.
c. Encourage her to focus on how far she's come and ask questions to find out what other information she may need about the plan.
I did just start to take advantage of some of the perks of employment, though- I registered for my free e-tools, so no more paying for WW, and I can attend as many meetings as I would like for free. I also got one of these!
It felt good to set up the new e-tools account and get the ActiveLink up and running- it really feels like I'm making a fresh start.
