The scale was friendly all week, so I knew it was going to be a good weigh-in, but I'm honestly not sure why my body has been so cooperative lately. I can't say I've stepped it up over the last couple of weeks, I've been doing about the same. I think maybe I hit a little mini-plateau crossing the border into the 160s, and the work that I did during that tough period when the scale wasn't really moving is finally paying off. Now that I've powered through that plateau, it should be smooth sailing until I bump into the next one. Hopefully not too soon, because I've got goosebumps just thinking of dipping my toe into the 150s. I mean, I can't even.
It was fun to share the road trip home with Amanda and my Mom... when Chris and I travel with Natalie, road snacks have traditionally been part of the fun, and I've come to associate long car rides with gas station stops for Doritos and Cherry Sours and Combos. But Amanda, Mom and I are all watching our weight and we didn't want to use a silly car ride as an excuse to pig out. We brought some fruit along, and planned a dinner stop where I knew there would be healthy options: Cracker Barrel.
