I'm down .8 lbs this week. Normally I would be happy with this, but this week it feels like my body cheated me a bit. Although, I did say this week would be hard, and I HAD eaten a bit too much last weekend (did I learn from that? not really, my whole week was awesome, but I ate a very large dinner Friday night, and yesterday I used my massive amount of steps to justify going to taco bell because my favorite burrito [the one with the spicy fritos in it] is back and I don't really want to get in the habit of eating it so, last night was my cheat). So.... I'm trying to focus on what I did right this week, and realize that my body will catch up with reality eventually.
This week was, health wise, pretty amazing. I stayed right on track with all my food intake never going over my allotted calories. I went for a run EVERY DAY, except Friday (because I had the color run on Saturday and thought I should take a day off) for a total of 7 days in a row counting last Friday - this Thursday, and finished my 5K training, the finals work-out on Thursday was a 5K and I finished it in 34 minutes!!!!
Saturday I ran the color run with my Sister Sarah, my future Sister-In-Law Angela, and my good friend Jesse in Racine WI again. Just as last year we had a blast, but unlike last-year it was an 8am start, and it was SOOO COLD. Despite this we had a GREAT TIME. I clocked in at 37 minutes (3 minutes added to my home time because I had to slow down for Sarah, plus there were LOTS of walkers on the race route that didn't listen to the "Run on the left, walk on the right rule" so I got bottlenecked a few times). I set the Nike run app up and I have to send a BIG SHOUT OUT to everyone who cheered us on, getting those cheers during the race was an awesome little high, and it really helped Sarah too (it was one of the things she mentioned to ANYONE we talked to after).
I'll leave you with some photos from the race, and then I'm heading out for a run before I continue with my memorial day weekend festivities.
Have a great week!
