This vacation is EXACTLY what I needed, just to get away from everything, turn off, and just enjoy being around my favorite person in the whole world. I can't even begin to describe how amazing it's been just to hang out with Chris every day for the last week (and I've got an entire week to go!).
Now when I say I've turned off, I really have, and that includes my normal, should I eat this? Which, good or bad, is something I really needed to do. I have made a couple of good choices, pop-corn instead of crisps a couple times, I haven't stuffed myself past comfort, and I've said no to late night meals when I wasn't hungry in the slightest. I've taken my vitamins every day, and I've tried to keep up on my water (although I have to admit, I'm not drinking nearly enough and I DO need to change that this upcoming week).
We have done SOOO much in this last week, leaving the flat around 9am and coming back around 10pm, just how I like to travel. Chris and I have been logging on average 11 miles a day (yes I did the math), with our least active day still clocking in at just over 8 miles and our best day being just under 13. So I'm hoping that despite eating more than normal, that I've managed to keep myself from gaining too much... Only time will tell, though I do plan on jumping right back on the wagon when Chris and I get home, and we're already working out how to actually fit healthy dinners in.
For now, I'm going to continue to enjoy my time away from home, and keep healthy in the back of my mind (but lets face it, London only comes around once in a great while, I can afford this).
Good luck to you this week!
